Design
The development has been designed to in keep with the local character of Great Baddow and surrounding areas.
It is proposed that Site’s development should be landscape-led development, with a diverse sequence of attractive spaces integrating retained and enhanced landscape features with a new framework of locally characteristic, high quality landscape elements. This will ensure a highly attractive development that responds positively to the landscape and comprises substantial areas of green space.
It has been carefully designed to protect local heritage features like the Bronze Age ringwork and views towards Chelmsford City Centre.
Close facilities including the Manor Farm Shop, Sandford Mill Science and Education Centre, The Vineyards Shopping Centre, Baddow Hall, Meadgate and Sandon School as well as the Great Baddow Millennium Community Centre have all been considered as well as the wider area in the design of the development.
